Information about the Samuel Durfee House:

*A full gourmet breakfast is served each morning normally between 8:30 & 10 am, coffee and tea are available at 7am.
*To accommodate our guests better, check-in is by arrangement. We just ask that you call or email us with a one to two hour window of when you would like to check-in. Check-out is by 11am.
*The Samuel Durfee House is air conditioned in the summer months.
* Off-street parking is provided, one space per room
* Complimentary WI-FI is available, throughout the inn.
* Afternoon tea and coffee with a treat (typically cookies or brownies) are served daily. Snacks are also provided.
* In accordance with state fire law, there is no smoking allowed in the Samuel Durfee House and the use of candles is not permitted in guest bedrooms.
* Children 8 and over are welcome.
* We do not accept pets.
*All of our guest rooms can only accommodate two adults. The suite can accommodate two adults and one child age 8 and older yet under the age of 18.

RATES:

*Please click on the “check availability” button at the top of the page for rates for the dates of your stay.
* Rates are based on a stay of two or more nights. Rates for one night may be higher.
* There is a two-night minimum most weekends and summer mid-week, three-night minimum holiday and special event weekends, the third night is at the weekend rate.
*Weekend rates are in effect for stays of Thursday/Friday, Friday/Saturday, and Saturday/Sunday. In addition, in our high season, there is usually a three night minimum if arriving on a Thursday or Saturday.
* Rates are based on single or double occupancy and are subject to 6% Newport Room Tax and 7% Rhode Island State Tax.
* Deposit of one night stay or half of total (whichever is higher) is required to reserve a room.
* Balance is due at time of check-in. Visa, Master Card, Cash, Checks (with credit card back-up), and Traveler's Checks are accepted.

Cancellation Policy: A refund less $25 processing fee per room cancelled will be issued if cancelled 14 days or more in advance of the date of arrival. If cancelled less than 14 days in advance and by noon the day before arrival date, a merchandise credit less $50 processing fee per room cancelled will be issued, valid for one year toward a minimum of a two night stay. There is no refund or merchandise credit issued for cancellations after noon the day before arrival date or for early departures.
